Work Experience - Extended

Extended Work Experience is a more in-depth experience of the workplace for students who need an alternative learning experience in KS4 (14-16 years old).  Most placements start after Christmas in year 10 and helps to equip students with skills industry requires and raises the profile of companies within the community.

The students focused in this case study have been offered employment or training at the end of year 11 because of their commitment to their extended placements provided by Bedfordshire Employers.

Our thanks to companies like Cycle King, Ceetak Ltd, Vehicle & General Polishers & Platers, TSS Carpentry & Building, Volvo Bus & Trucks, Goldington St Mary’s Pre School, Box & Defoe Builders, Franco Vita Kitchen and Bathroom Installations, Dunstable Waste Group Ltd and many many more who have made such a difference to the prospects of these and other students who needed education plus.

If you would like to me more involved in supporting students to gain employability skills while they are still at school please contact me and I will discuss how we can make it a reality.
