Would you like to grow crystals and have the chance to win science books and the opportunity to visit the laboratories at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge? Enter this fun competition for KS2 & KS3 pupils to promote science in schools.

Pupils grow the best-looking crystal of Potash Alum that they can in 5 weeks, and submit it for judging by March 2008  For an entry fee of £5.00 each participating school will receive a resource pack containing sufficient Alum for up to 4 groups and all the necessary instructions. A second pack may be purchased if required for an additional £7.50.

Entries should be received by Monday 7 January 2008.

Schools from Cambridgeshire, Luton, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk are eligibile for the competition.
