KS3/4 Competition

This challenge is a national and international competition which requires young people between the ages of 9-16 to design, build and program robots to perform tasks on a specially designed mat following a certain theme which is different each year.

The global launch is on the 3 September 2009 and the challenge this year is transportation based, Bedfordshire and Luton has a good record in this competition in the past.  I will provide in school training for teachers and students taking part and this can be arranged by contacting Denise Watts on 01525 408098.

The UK competition is run by First Hand Technology - www.firsthandtechnology.org.uk.  To register open the link on the First Hand Technology website and choose the Cranfield Event which will be either on the 3 or 4 December 2009, the date will be confirmed later.
