The Jaguar F1 in Schools Competition is a fantastic opportunity to build your own scale racing car and race it at 100mph+. There are two categories; one where the car can have any form but fits within the dimension limits. The other one should look like a current F1 car. Both are powered by CO2 gas cartridges with 1/100th second timing systems.
The national F1 in schools event is run under strict regulations and details of this are shown on the F1 in schools website www.f1inschools.co.uk. A 3 axis router is needed to manufacture the cars and expertise with Prodesktop/Solid Edge and Edgcam/Minicam or similar is essential. It is a great chance to build students' expertise in CAD/DAM in a fascinating way.
EBP STEM will run F1 event for Bedfordshire or for
individual schools on request.
