Mission to Mars (Space Science - Rocketry)
Age Group:  |  Category:

This workshop involves looking at the Science of Space Travel.  We look at what it took to get the Mars Landers all the way to the Red Planet.  We will think about what it will be like to live in space in the future and pupils will build a Mars base out of K'Nex.  This part of the workshop lasts all morning.

The final part involves making paper rockets and then, using a compressed air launcher, seeing how high they go.  When built correctly they can acheive considerable heights, giving a real sense of achivement.

The learning taking place is the same learning that all rocketry experts have to start with from modern day right back to the ancient Chinese.

This is one of our most popular workshops so book early to avoid disappointment.

Space needed - classroom or hall for building and a hall or outdoor space for flying. This workshop is designed for 30 students or more and will need at least a morning or afternoon session.

The cost of this workshop is variable according to requirements.
