National Science & Engineering Week Activities

Once again EBP will be offering Science Week activities throughout March.  This includes Science Week itself which runs from 7-16 March although some activities may fall outside this period.  Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis so please ring very soon if you are interested in one of these activities. 

The cost to schools will be £2 per pupil, with a minimum charge of £200 per school.  Hayley will give you full details of available dates.

Astro Info Service - KS1,2 & 3

Astro Infor Service is an interactive presentation on space.  These humorous and informative presentations deal with many aspects of everyday life in space.  The workshops are delivered by Dave Shayler, a 1989 applicant for the UK project Juno Mission to the Mir Space Station.  He will explain what it is like to prepare for a mission into space, the experiences of launch and landing and what it is like to live and work in zero-g.

Moon Dust on my Socks - KS1 & 2

Moon Dust on my Socks involves a short story, followed by picture making with sliding rockets and electrical circuits.

Science in a Suitcase - KS1 & 2

This workshop provides hands-on activities and experiments that are suitable for a wide age range.  The following fields of work are covered: light, reflection, sound, the senses, magnetism, pressure and flow and structures and forces.

Push the Cat and Pull the Apple Show - KS 1 & 2

A show using puppetry, ventriloquism and magic to introduce pupils to the topic of Forces and Motion. (Max 110 pupils per show - 2 shows in a day).

Future Fuel - KS 3 & 4

Interactive workshops studying our current primary energy consumption and its impact on the environment.  Robert Farr, the presenter orignally worked for the oil industry before becoming involved in environmental work. He now presents to schools all over the country.  He will present to your classes throughout the day without disturbing the school timetable.

Chaplins in Education - KS2

Professor Bonkers is back with his shows on Sound, Light and Vision or Magnetism.

We have two dates booked for Bedfordshire schools - Friday 7 March & Friday 14 March during National Science & Engineering Week.  These will go very quickly so please contact us asp.
