STEM Clubs Network
Inspiring students in science, technology engineering and maths.
The STEM Clubs Network was launched in July 2009 and is co-ordinated by STEMNET. It provides schools with ideas, resources and links to enable them to set up a club, or continue to run an existing club and caters for all STEM enhancement and enrichment requirements. Clubs allow students to explore, investigate and discover STEM subjects in a fun, stimulating learning environment away from the constraints of the school timetable.
STEM Clubs can motivate students and build their confidence with STEM subjects and also proide an extra outlet for children who already show aptitude and are interested in furthering their learning. The STEM Clubs Network is aimed at at schools and colleges across the UK. Schools and colleges are able to join the initiative either by affiliating an established after school club or by starting a new one.
Schools run their clubs in many ways, depending on their resources and other commitments, and the network can offer advice and guidance for both new and existing clubs.
